Cubital tunnel release surgery is the surgery to correct the cubital tunnel syndrome. Cubital tunnel syndrome, also called ulnar nerve entrapment is a condition caused by compression of the ulnar nerve in an area of the elbow called the cubital tunnel.
- Tommy John Surgery
The first surgery to repair a UCL injury was performed in 1974 to Tommy John, a famous pitcher at that time. As a result, you may hear the term “Tommy John surgery” when discussing UCL reconstruction surgery.
